Jimmy Young - guitar
Lach Leckie - bass
Jesse Bailey - vocals
Dan Briffa - drums

They are the sound of spiralling petrol prices, political scandal, a ready supply of the drug of your choice, roaming bikie gangs, botched invasion attempts, one raised finger to the man, a surfboard hitting that wave and fucking it all. They fly that freak flag up on high and into the sky. Swaying like the breeze, mind whistling like leaves, it's all in the way Bailey on vocals (with his Amish beard and anti-establishment grooves) make THIS band the very Zeitgeist of it all!

If ever there was anything lacking from our apocalypse as envisioned in childhood, it's in the sights THEY bring to our feverish minds – it’s in the second coming of the mad 70's blunt groove, Rogerthat style. Bikini girls on Harley's, swallowing swords and spitting out fire.

The breath of fresh air we needed, smoking out the room to an intangible haze. Walking the water and swimming the land.

If ever there was a diagonal slide into sweet oblivion that needed magnifying with guitar, bass, drum and electrified amp, Rogerthat are the one to deliver it. They're a spaghetti western act of desperado with both guns blazing moments before the saloon goes down in flames.

ROGERTHAT::
THE DESERT’S CALL

The band’s debut album mixes and matches: multi layered vocals and psychedelic wig outs with propulsive manic drums. Pedal tromping with instrumentation panned so heavily it’ll tilt your room - all with a bottom end that swings between rock and dub. It is music for wanderers, people that flock from the flatlands to the sea and back.

To support it Rogerthat will head out on their most extensive national tour this August and September.

This will be 2 months worth of gigs North, East, South and West just 2 weeks after they get back from their 2 month long international tour thru UK, France, Holland, Germany and Canada.

TOURS ::
In June 09 Rogerthat again toured internationally. This time in Canada, Europe and the U.K. following up their successful 2 month tour across Europe and U.K. in May 08. Highlights can be seen on the bands Tangerine Bird film clip.

Early this year they did a 24 date Australian single release tour – for single Green Room. The band spent the rest of the year buried away in their shipping container come studio working like a manic, brain fried, mad professor on their debut album. 08 turned to 09 and the band emerged briefly to tour, blessing the Festival of the Sun, the Big Right Hook and Pyramid festivals with their presence.

RECENT REVIEW: first single from the bands debut album THE DESERT’S CALL is a version of the band’s garage pop diamond, Green Room, released feb 09 was RAVE single of the week, “..Green Room just has so many layers, finding the influences could take all night. I guess we’re just lucky that Green Room’s so engaging to listen to on repeat.” played on Triple J, playlisted on FBi, PBS, RTR and RRR.
